How to edit SoundFont presets: volume, pan, tuning and filter
Adjust volume, pan, tuning, attack, release and a low-pass filter on each .sf2 preset and preview it in the built-in player — with Rsf2.
Beyond merging and splitting, Rsf2 lets you edit each SoundFont preset and hear the result before exporting — no desktop sampler required.
What you can adjust
Volume, pan, tuning, attack, release and a low-pass filter (brightness cut) on each preset.
Step by step
- 1Load the .sf2 and tap the preset you want to edit.
- 2Adjust the controls (volume, pan, tuning, attack, release, filter).
- 3Play notes on the on-screen keyboard or a MIDI controller to listen.
- 4When happy, export the new .sf2 with your edits.
Note
Leaving a control at neutral (0) keeps the preset byte-exact. The filter can only darken the sound (low-pass): it cannot add brightness the sample does not have.
